Thank you very much for your commitment to the work of Woord en Daad. You contribute to structural change for the people in the countries where we work. We would like to keep you informed about all developments in our work.
Until now, you sometimes received information by post. For instance, important letters, reports or our magazine Werelddelen. In recent years, we have been able to digitise more and more mail, both within the Netherlands and to donors abroad. For instance, we almost always share reports on our work digitally these days.
As an organisation, we want to spend the money entrusted to us responsibly. We recently examined the postage costs we incur for sending mail to donors living abroad. This is proportionately a large part of the donor contribution.
There is also the risk of mail not arriving to you. Unfortunately, this sometimes occurs. Taking into account the relatively high postage costs and the risks with sending mail abroad, from 2024 we will send all mail to donors outside the Netherlands digitally.
