Since the start of INCE process in Benin in June 2022 to date, we have carried out several activities to introduce the intervention in Benin, including:
- The organization of discovery visits and exchanges with civil society organizations and state institutions;
- The organization of co-construction workshops (3 workshops) which brought together about 20 institutions;
- The organization of individual and collective exchanges for the strategic orientation of the intervention in Benin taking into account the realities of the context.
All these activities have been a success, particularly with regard to the involvement, the participation and the contribution of the targeted actors to our approach based on co-construction.
Beyond, this first basic results, the first outcomes are expressed in terms of :
- Mutual discovery between several organizations in the education sector in Benin;
- Analysis of the education sector/system in general with the key results of identifying the major challenges, the positioning of the actors;
- Sharing Woord and Daad’s vision in Daad and its systemic change-oriented approach;
- Identification of restricted actors for the constitution of the consortium to carry out the intervention;
- Orientation of INCE Benin with the identification of the key challenge to be addressed, namely inclusion in education in Benin from the perspective of improving the education system on the basis of values
- Distribution of the main roles within the consortium (activity being finalized).
- Collection and analysis of resources (manuals and various documents) available at the local level and usable by INCE (in progress);
- Elaboration of the theory of change of INCE in the Beninese context (in progress);
