On June 28, 2022, INCE Burkina Faso and the Ministry of National Education, Literacy and Promotion of National Languages (MENAPLN) signed a partnership agreement. The two partners decided to unite their energy, with the objective of giving more sustainability and impact to their interventions.
The vast majority of MENAPLN’s technical and financial partners are organized around a structure called “CADRE PARTENARIAL”. This structure includes embassies and diplomatic missions, specialized UN agencies, international NGOs, national associations, etc. It also works in close contact with the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and in close relationship with the GPE. By signing an agreement with the MENAPLN, INCE Burkina Faso has become a member of the partnership framework, which greatly facilitates the implementation of one of its three strategies, which is the “Mobilization of major actors in the sector for a systemic transformation of the education sector in Burkina Faso”.
Sharing the dream
The agreement that was signed also allows INCE Burkina Faso to carry out its activities for a period of five years. Its work will be carried out for the benefit of all children without discrimination. Alongside the government, INCE Burkina Faso shares the dream of a systemic change in the education sector in order to meet the requirements of society and the economy of Burkina Faso.
Member of SPONG
Still in the perspective of the implementation of the strategy on the mobilization of the major actors of the sector, INCE Burkina Faso became member of the Permanent Secretariat of the Non-Governmental Organizations (SPONG). This is a national platform that brings together national and international NGOs and development associations, foundations, research and training centers, youth movements, and thematic networks. In 2022, SPONG has 194 NGOs and associations and 61 international NGOs. The SPONG is a framework for consultation allowing civil society organizations to get to know each other, to act in the field with more coherence and to go together in dialogue with the State and technical and financial partners. It is also a label of credibility for NGOs and development associations in Burkina Faso.
The 47th Ordinary General Assembly of the SPONG was held in Ouagadougou on Thursday, July 7, 2022, under the sponsorship of the Head of the European Union Delegation in Burkina Faso. The 47th ordinary general assembly authorized 11 new structures, including INCE Burkina Faso, to join the collective. It also excluded 29 members for not respecting the statutory texts.
